Call Story: Growing up in Dayton, I was involved in a city congregation called St. Marks Lutheran Church. My grandmother and mother attended this church their whole life. When I went to college I was aiming for law school but a Lutheran Campus Pastor asked if I ever considered seminary. I laughed. However the “s”-word (seminary) kept coming up. Years later an invitation to visit a seminary and a psalm changed my life. Psalm 32 “I will teach you and instruct you in the way you should go…do not be stubborn like a horse or mule!”
Ministry Style: People have noticed my approach to ministry relies on team and congregational partnership, shared discernment and trusting God with “new doors.”
Gifts for Ministry: I have growing gifts for preaching, confirmation, diverse worship, invitational ministry, and social ministry that involves hands and hearts.
Hobbies: running, reading, listening to music, visiting Ohio, and playing with others!
